Madonna Releases ‘Back That Up To That Beat’ Demo

The Queen of pop started in 2023 launching the demo and the accelerated version of Back That Up To That Beat. The song had originally been released as a deluxe track on her 2019 LP, Madame X.

The demo is from 2015 and was originally developed with Pharrell Williams to include it in his album rebel heartbut when the album leaked online, Madonna took the album’s final release in a different direction, then Back That Up To The Beat it was removed and not officially released.

The song was later reworked for Madame X, appearing on the deluxe double CD version. version of Madame X it is radically different, full of Arabic instruments and unconventional drums.
