Manu Pineda presented himself in the Izquierda Unida primaries to go to the list of Europeans of Sumar

MEP Manu Pineda will contest the Izquierda Unida primaries for next summer’s European elections, with the organization competing in a coalition with Sumar. The federation has already opened the deadline for the presentation of candidates for these elections and it will be the militants who will define the head of the list in the voting to be held between 11 and 16 March. However, the parties that are part of the SUMMER will have to negotiate the final list for that event later.

Pineda (Almería, 1965) is currently an MEP and, within the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), he is responsible for international relations. During his tenure in the European Parliament he has stood up to defend the Palestinian cause.
