local sources Zambia reported that more than 11 million cases malaria in 2023, up from 8.1 million in 2022.

These data represent a large discrepancy compared to those estimated by the WHO in its World Malaria Report 2023, which reported 3,611,400 cases in the country in 2022.

According to data provided at a press conference by the Minister of Health, more than 894,266 buildings were sprayed in 2023. In 2024, the goal is to fumigate more than 920,000 homes.
