Once again, the Department of Public Health of the City Council of Cabanillas de la Sierra demonstrated its commitment to raising awareness of breast cancer by marking International Day of the Disease with an emotional walking route. The event took place on Saturday 19th and attracted a large number of neighbors who came together to support this important cause.
The day began with the reading of the Manifesto, which recognized the efforts and dedication of all people involved in research to eradicate breast cancer. The event served not only to honor those fighting the disease, but also as a reminder of the importance of prevention and early detection.
The hiking route, designed for any audience, was adapted so that everyone could take part in it. This allowed families, friends and neighbors to come together in an atmosphere of solidarity and support, to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the municipality, while committing to the fight against this disease.
Starting on Saturday the 19th and throughout the week, the City Council also joined the initiative by wearing a pink ribbon, a symbol of the fight against breast cancer, to raise awareness of the cause. Additionally, City Hall was illuminated pink at night, creating a visual spectacle to symbolize hope and unity in the fight against cancer.
Community participation in this event highlights the importance of awareness and collective support in the fight against breast cancer. Cabanillas de la Sierra has established itself as an example of how unity and solidarity can change the lives of many people. Together, we continue to move toward a future in which breast cancer remains a disease of the past.
