Marius Borg, son of Norway’s princess, has been remanded in custody for two alleged rapes

Norwegian media reported that police found a knife stuck in a wall of the woman’s room. Then in September he was arrested again for violating a protective order. According to police, when he was arrested on Monday, he was in a car with the alleged victim of the August incident.

“Marius faces serious allegations which must be dealt with by the police and the justice system,” responded Crown Prince of the Norwegian Throne, Haakon, before the announcement, on public television NRK. “I’m confident they’ll do a good job,” he said from Jamaica, where he is visiting.

Hoiby and her half-siblings – Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 20, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 18 – were raised together by Mette Marit and Haakon. Unlike them, he has no official role.
