Maroon 5 returned to South Africa after almost a decade to headline the Calabash Festival alongside international artists Keane and Ava Max.
During Maroon 5’s performance in Cape Town, lead singer Adam Levine captivated the crowd by addressing them in Afrikaans.

So, Levin knows a couple of phrases fromtaal‘, but admits that it is ‘a very difficult language’. He then shares an Afrikaans phrase he learned from his wife while addressing the crowd:
