Merle Bart extends contract through 2025

EXTENDS HIS CONTRACT FOR ONE SEASON

The German defender, who joined our club in 2022, will continue another campaign as a player of the red and whites.

Merle Barth and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement to extend the German international’s contract. The defence extends the contract until June 30, 2025.

Merle joined our team in 2022 and, as one of the most outstanding players of the pre-season, suffered a serious fibula injury in a friendly match against Bayern Munich. After a difficult and lengthy recovery, the German was discharged from hospital on April 20 this year, after which she returned to the squad and trained with her teammates without any physical discomfort in this final stretch of the season.

Our player looked happy after the contract extension: “I’m very happy that I can continue here for another season.”

Congratulations, Merle!
