Microsoft is opening its Assistant to people and companies of all sizes

Since its launch, Microsoft is gradually rolling out its Copilot assistant to reach more users of all types, which has been confirmed Launching Copilot Pronew paid subscription (22 euros per month per user) assistant specially designed for individuals and professionals. Thanks to this, these users will be able to use Copilot in a more advanced way, among other things, to create tasks or as support in development or research tasks.

This subscription also brings Copilot AI capabilities to Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family plan subscribers, adding new features to its tools and utilities, including the ability to create custom GPTs for Copilot. In addition, the company confirmed that Copilot applications are now available for smartphones running iOS and Android operating systems. They will have the same features as the PC version, including access to GPT-4 and Dall-E 3.

Copilot Pro delivers a unified AI experience across devices, understanding the context of every user across the web, desktop, and apps. This will soon be possible on a smartphone to offer users the skills needed in every situation.

Copilot Pro brings AI assistant to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family

With this new plan, users will have access to Copilot in Word, Excel (currently in preview and in English), PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on PC, Mac and iPad for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plan subscribers. Plus, they’ll count if you sign up for Copilot Pro with priority access to the latest models. An example of this is the immediate availability of OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo even during peak hours. Later, they will even be able to switch between models to have all sorts of options to optimize the assistant’s user experience.

Additionally, Copilot Pro offers AI-powered image creation with Designer’s Image Creator, formerly known as Bing Image Creator. With this tool, faster speed and 100 “zooms” per day are guaranteed, as well as better image quality. It also allows you to create images in landscape format.

As we already mentioned, it also includes the ability to create a personalized CPT co-pilot using simple instructions tailored to a specific topic. However, this will require using Copilot GPT Builder, which is not yet available and will be coming soon.

Second pilot for Microsoft 365 in all types of companies

In addition to announcing Copilot Pro, Microsoft also announced that expands Copilot for Microsoft 365 capabilities for businesses of all sizes. Thus, the assistant, which was made available to large companies through an access program in which 40% of Fortune 100 companies participated, is also reaching SMEs and the remaining companies that did not participate in the program.

So Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available to businesses and organizations of all sizes, with no minimum job title or employee requirement. In addition, Microsoft allows its partners to offer the capabilities they need to all companies that want to implement AI in their operations.

This will be available for small businesses through Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard plans. You can purchase from one to 299 assistant licenses for $30 per month per person. As a result, the minimum purchase of 300 Copilot licenses for Microsoft 365 business plans has been removed and Copilot availability is extended to Office 365 E3 and E5 customers. Until now, they could only use it through a Microsoft 365 license, but now this will not be necessary.

On the other hand, business customers can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 through the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider partner network. Additionally, Copilot for Microsoft 365 has been available to teachers and education staff since last month. Copilot will also be available next month on the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS for users with a Microsoft account.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 works with all your work data, including email, chats, documents, and meeting information, in addition to the web. It is capable of generating status updates with messages and requests in natural language based on all of them, and what’s more, it is even integrated into Teams for summarizing meetings, regardless of whether the person requesting the summary was present or not.

Of course, all of this is backed by enterprise-grade security, privacy, and compliance. In addition, Microsoft adheres to its customer copyright obligations, that is, customers’ copyright obligations.

In addition to these new features, Microsoft is also introducing so-called Copilot GPTs, with which the behavior of Copilot can be customized to a specific topic of interest to the user. So from now on Co-pilots will begin to be involved, specializing in various topics.such as fitness, cooking or travel.
