“The new Chancellor of the Argentine Republic is Mr. Gerardo Werthin,” presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni announced via the social network X.

Resolution in favor of Cuba

The United Nations General Assembly, this Wednesday, for one year and by a majority vote (187 votes in favor, 2 against -USA and Israel- and 1 abstention -Moldova-) approved a resolution without binding effect against state sanctions on Cuba , which lasted until 62. years and it has dealt a severe blow to the island’s economy.

Argentina, faithful to its historical position on the issue, voted in favor of the resolution.

The decision surprised the South American country due to the Meili government’s strong rapprochement with Israel and the United States on foreign policy matters and the far-right president’s strong rejection of leftist governments.
