Mirror in the sky is a family-owned cashmere clothing brand that combines the Mediterranean with Nepali culture.

Rosaura and Pere, mother and son, traveled to Nepal in 2012, a country with which their family has a special connection. There they were not only fascinated by the landscape and its culture, but also discovered the rich craftsmanship and delicacy with which they work with cashmere. What if they brought this noble material, made using centuries-old technology, and adapted it to modern design? It was the spark that gave birth Mirror in the Sky is a brand that combines craft tradition with fashion.. This project, which, as its founders explain to us, was born as a family adventure, also contributes to the progress of a country full of talent, improving the quality of life of its people. Pere, who handles sales and operations in-house, admits that getting access to cashmere was difficult at first. “We had to build trust with local suppliers and learn about their traditional methods production. Today we combine the production of collections with cashmere from Mongolia and travel to Nepal approximately three times a year to control the quality of new products that are created every season. “In this way, we ensure that our values of sustainability and fair trade are maintained at every stage of the process.”

They chose this material as the protagonist of their collections “for its quality, warmth, softness and durability.”explains and adds that “besides the aesthetic beauty that is undeniable, we look for an imprint of sustainability in every fiber, and cashmere, with its durable nature and natural origin, perfectly embodies our values.”

The cashmere in their clothing comes from the Hircus goats, which live in the Himalayas and Mongolian plateaus. They have “downy fur with which they can survive in this hostile environment, whose softer, finer fibers create a natural thermal blanket along with your body. skin,” he clarifies. Thanks to this precious material Rosaura creates clothes with a modern and timeless style., designed to last and avoid trends. The natural grandeur of the Himalayas, the varied hues of the earth of Mustang, Tibet, the serene blue of the Mediterranean, sands and oceans, and traditional Nepalese art are what inspire the designer.”Each product is created for the modern and conscious womana person who values quality, sustainability and timeless design,” he says.
