Murcian company Sons of a Bit wins Oscar for best video game…

Murcian company Sons of a Bit has won the prestigious Auggie 2024 award for the world’s best augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) video game. during the AWE USA 2024 International Exhibition held in Los Angeles, California (USA) last Thursday, June 20. The Auggie Awards are considered The Oscars of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

This award is presented to Sons of a Bit for innovation and outstanding achievements achieved through Kluest, a mobile app that allows anyone to create, share, monetize and access all types of augmented reality content; including games, treasure hunts, travel guides and art galleries.

Sons of a Bit CEO Alberto Saldanha said that “winning the Auggie Award is a dream come true for our entire team.” “This recognition fills us with pride and motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation.”he decided.

The 10 finalists in their category included projects with “much larger” budgets than the Spanish startup’s proposal.like Peridot, the augmented reality pet simulator from Niantic, the creators of the social phenomenon Pokémon GO; Arizona Sunshine 2, the action and zombie blockbuster from Vertigo Games for VR headsets; or the third installment of one of the highest-rated VR series, I Expect You to Die, created by Schell Games.
