Some 2,370 flu and covid vaccines were delivered on the evening of the first day of the campaign by the Extremadura Health Service (SES), which gave a positive assessment of the service.

In the second half of this Tuesday, in the 14 cities of Extremadura where it is done: Badajoz, Montijo, Merida, Almendralejo, Villafranca, Don Benito, a total of 2363 doses of vaccines were administered, of which 1402 were against influenza and 889 against covid. , Villanueva de la Serena, Herrera del Duque, Castuera, Zafra, Caceres, Coria, Placencia and Navalmoral de la Mata.

Similarly, 76 intranasal doses were administered to minors aged 24 to 59 months.

The evening vaccination campaign continues this Wednesday and next week at the same days, times and in the same health facilities, without an appointment.

The SES has planned that in medical centers where there is necessary due to the large influx of people, the number of personnel will be increased health care for the administration of vaccines.

Likewise, the Extremadura Health Service reports that depending on demand, vaccination weeks may be extended, although always during the evening hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The service repeated its call for parents to vaccinate their children, given that this group is currently the least likely to have access to evening vaccinations.

Promoting reconciliation and access to immunization to protect health is the goal of this campaign, which will take place from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at various health centers in all districts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
