Philips has expanded its Evnia sub-brand with the 24M2N5500L model. For reference, the 24M2N5500L follows the Evnia 27M1N5500P that arrived a few months ago. Additionally, it is worth noting that Philips produces gaming monitors only under its Evnia sub-brand. Instead, the company continues to offer office monitors such as the 24E1N1100A, 27E1N1100A and 27E1N1600AE under the Philips brand.
As for the Evnia 24M2N5500L, Philips claims to have equipped it with a 23.8-inch IPS panel with 2K resolution. However, the monitor actually runs at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is more commonly known as 1440p or 2.5K. Additionally, Philips rates the monitor’s maximum refresh rate at 180Hz, although it offers up to 144Hz over HDMI thanks to the presence of HDMI 2.0 ports. In contrast, the Evnia 24M2N5500L offers full 1440p resolution images at 180Hz when connected to the device via a DisplayPort 1.4 connection.
Additionally, the GtG monitor’s response time is 1ms, or 0.5ms if the MPRT standard is used instead. Additionally, the Evnia 24M2N5500L should cover 93% and 99.5% of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, respectively, while delivering 250 nits of brightness. Currently, the Evnia 24M2N5500L is only available in China, where it retails for RMB 1,099 (~$152). However, Philips tends to offer its monitors under the Evnia brand worldwide over time.
