Everyday life is surrounded by philosophical concepts, although we don’t realize it: worries, fears, doubts, philosophy can help cope with various everyday situations, including why many people like to make a list of resolutions at the beginning of the year. Book Philosophy of everyday life Tanya Sanchez strives to approach the discipline from a lighter, more accessible perspective.
Why do we celebrate the arrival of the new year? Are we doomed to feel nostalgia for our childhood? Why are we tied to a physical workplace? Should we stop taking photographs?
All of these questions are part of a set of problems related to our daily lives that can indeed be answered through philosophy.
This is the bet that Tanya Sanchez, a professor of philosophy and literature from the Chinese city of Shanghai, made with her book. Philosophy of everyday life(Philosophy of Everyday Life), published by Airol Publishing House.
Tanya Sanchez came to our RFI studio to talk about this work, broken down into 70 questions that we all face or will face at some point in our lives:
