PlayStation Plus Essential games announced for July

Sony has announced the games that PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will be able to download in July.

All three games will be available starting July 2, headlined by Borderlands 3, the latest installment in the popular looter shooter franchise from Gearbox Software and 2K Games. This is initially the standard version for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, so its expansions will not be included.

The second game is Among Us for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, an indie game from studio Innersloth that took 2020 by storm and became one of the most popular games during the pandemic.

Finally, the selection for July ends with NHL 24 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, the latest edition of the hockey gaming saga officially licensed by EA Sports.

Sony explained that PlayStation Plus Essential users will also be able to redeem a free in-game content pack for Genshin Impact, which includes the following:

  • 160 protogems
  • 4 brittle resins
  • 20 hero intelligence
  • 30 minerals of mystical sophistication
  • 150,000 blackberries

With the announcement of the new PlayStation Plus Essential games, remember that you have until July 1st to add the June games to your library if you haven’t already, namely SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever and Streets of Rage 4 .
