There will be a preview next Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the BBK Room. Kindur (Sheep), a documentary about our host Tryggvi Hlinason’s Icelandic summer. who alternates his career as a professional basketball player with working on his family farm in a remote part of Iceland, 40 kilometers from the nearest town. The mid-length documentary produced by Liga Endesa stars our former man in black, Rafa Martinez. “Tryggvi told me he was a shepherd and I promised him that when I retired I would visit him.” No sooner said than done.
And that’s what it’s about Kindur (sheep), about Rafa Martinez’s surreal journey into the Icelandic steppe, about wintering in mid-July and about several days working with Tryggvi and his family on a farm, among sheep, horses and fishing in the icy Icelandic waters. Spoiler: Yes, he dares to take a bath.
Next Wednesday, April 24, at 19:00, the preview will take place in the BBK room (c/ Gran Vía López de Haro 19-21, Bilbao). It will feature protagonist Tryggvi Hlinason, who will be supported by his teammates from Surne Bilbao Basket.
The screening will be followed by a discussion between Tryggvi Hlinason and documentary director Marc Ramon (acb), moderated by Alejandra Llambes, who together with Marc Visa form the acb team behind this amazing audiovisual product.
