We finally know what new features are coming in the first software update for the Galaxy S24.
Samsung confirmed a few days ago that the first update for the Galaxy S24 will be ready very soon, although it did not dare share details. official list of changes it will appear in this new version. Now, just a few days after the announcement, a company representative decided to break the silence and talk in detail all news and improvements it will come from the hands of this OTA, the rollout of which began today and should reach all models of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series in the coming days.
ALL the changes coming to the Galaxy S24 with its first update
The list in question was published by a brand representative via the official Samsung Korea forum. As you can read, the vast majority of changes and improvements are focused on device cameras. Let’s look at the full list:
- Image quality is improved by adjusting brightness when shooting backlit in High Definition mode.
- Improved text clarity when using high magnification zoom. (Galaxy S24 Ultra only)
- Improved image clarity and quality when recording videos using the rear camera. (Galaxy S24 Ultra only)
- The Photo mode preview has increased the brightness of dark areas indoors and smoothly sharpened people. (Galaxy S24 Ultra only)
- Expression was improved by additional application of food mode color data.
- Colors have been improved by adjusting saturation and white balance in Night mode.
- Improved image quality when scaling the gallery after shooting in the new DNG format in the RAW Expert application.
- Improved rendering of fast-moving objects in backlit conditions in back photo mode. (Galaxy S24 Ultra only)
- Improved exposure and color rendition of objects (people, flowers, etc.) in photo mode. (Galaxy S24 Ultra only)
- A Sharpness option has been added to Display Mode in Display Settings so you can enjoy more vibrant colors.
In our analysis of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, we have already mentioned some Consistency issues when using device cameras. Other analysts also mentioned similar issues, and everything seemed to indicate that Samsung would have to improve the device’s photo system with an update. No sooner said than done.
