LOS ANGELES — Shohei Ohtani injured A wound in yours left shoulder when he slid to second base, in attempted robbery in the seventh inning, in victory Los Angeles Dodgers with a score of 4-2 in favor New York Yankees in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night.

Speaking after the game, manager belonging Dodgers, Dave Robertssaid that Ohtani suffered a partial dislocation –defined as minor dislocation— belonging to shoulder and this will undergo further testing.

Roberts added that Ohtani’s strength and range of motion are good and that the team is “pumped up.”

The injury was an unfortunate addition to the victory, which gave the Dodgers a 2–0 series lead. The third game will take place on Monday in New York.

“I hope he’s there,” Roberts said when asked if he thought his team could handle the potential loss of Ohtani.

Ohtani, who has not missed a game this season due to injury, slid past the plate, then was slow to get up, rolling on the ground, clutching his left hand.

He was eventually helped to his feet and walked toward the bench as Dodgers assistant athletic trainer Yosuke Nakajima held the superstar’s hand. They disappeared into the locker room.

Ohtani, who had the first 50/50 season in history this season and is expected to win his third MVP next month, is hitting .260/.403/.460 with three home runs but no stolen bases in 13 postseason games.

When he left, the Dodgers were leading 4–1. New York rallied in the ninth inning, scoring a run before leaving the bases loaded.
