A feature that strikes the eye at first glance is red rash on cheeks which appears after the first symptoms of the disease appear. The virus is transmitted by contact with particles of secretions from the nose and throat of infected people, making it highly contagious.

As a rule, symptoms appear one to two weeks after infection and disappear after another 10 days, if no complications arise. Currently, There are no tests or studies that determine the high risk of infection with the slap virus., but in some cases it has been observed that this may increase the risk of spontaneous abortion.
