Spain surpasses Uruguay and Valencia in memory

Spain national rugby XV The men’s team opened the November window with a hard-fought 33-24 win over Uruguay. The Spaniards had a brilliant first half with four tries and managed to hold on to their lead in the second against a very established Theros side who based their play on a powerful group of forwards. At the beginning of the match, the Valencia anthem was played at the National Stadium of the Complutense University of Madrid, in memory and tribute to everyone touched by DANA and Alvar Jimeno and Nacho Pinheiro wore commemorative shirts as they posed on the grass.

We didn’t have to wait long for the first glasses to arrive. After the Uruguayans’ violation, Spain made a touch 5 meters away, after which fly time Gonzalo Vinuesa read the Uruguay defense perfectly and found an unmarked Gautier Mingillon.

on the open side, so he scored the first goal of the match in the 1st minute.

After this early rehearsal, the match was even, with Los Teros coming close to the Spanish points zone several times, and the team Los Leones’ defense shines again and again, making it harder for your opponents. When almost half of the first half had been played, the Spaniards scored the second goal. After a powerful scrum, Kerman Aurrecoechea picked up an opportunity on the closed side, pinned his defender and linked up with Martiniano Cian who, after beating his partner and defender, reached the line again to give Spain a 10-0 lead.

The Lions Festival did not stop there. An excellent, well-choreographed choral piece ended with the third mark set by Kerman Aurrecoechea after a difficult shot from Martiniano Chiana. Despite the score 17-0, the Spaniards did not stop fighting for a moment, managed to force two goals that did not hit the goal line, and kept the score at zero.

Before heading to the locker room, Los Leones had one more. Rafa Nieto, in a rehearsed touch, received the ball from outside the line-up and found a short, inverted pass to Kerman Aurrecuchea, who used his speed to get under the sticks for what was the Spaniard’s fourth try. The first one arrived on time for the teros, Because after a powerful touch, Irish referee Eoghan Cross announced a penalty and a yellow card for Santiago Ovejero, ending the first half with a score of 24-7 in favor of Los Leones.

The second half started in Los Teros’ favor with a quick maul try in the opening moments scored by Guillermo Pujadas to level the score to 24-14. Gonzalo Vinuesa added another 3 soon after, but Uruguay bit again, this time in open play they set up third thanks to their second line Felipe Aliaga. Buza began to move the bench and Spain continued to put his foot through its hole to keep Gonzalo Vinuesa at a safe distance in the light. With less than 10 left, Uruguay managed to cover the distance and were only 6 points behind on the scoreboard, but Vinuesa’s leg gave the Spaniards the points cushion again.
