GSC Game World has published the first major patch for STALKER 2, adding more than 650 bug fixes and features that slowed down performance and progress in the game.
The game went on sale on November 20th and has received several small patches with various improvements to some of the bugs that were present in the game at launch. To mark the occasion, the update, which is now available for all platforms, fixes several issues with NPC AI that caused them to behave erratically in combat and in some missions.
Last week, the developers admitted that the famous A-Life simulation system is still present in this sequel, but does not work correctly. Many changes were aimed specifically at improving its balance.
In addition, the circumstances that caused more than 100 crashes have been eliminated, and some balance changes have been made to the gameplay itself. For example, the money received as a reward for completing quests has been increased, the cost of selling artifacts has been increased, or the cost of repairing armor has been reduced. These are just a few of the changes, but there are hundreds of them.
