Starting grid for Saturday’s Formula 1 sprint race in Miami

After the short classification, sprint classification or sprint shootout at the 2024 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix this Friday, this is how the grid is set for the sprint race on Saturday, which will award the first points of the weekend. Mercedes will be forced to return if they want to reach the points zone, which will be 1st to 8th place this Saturday.

* Daniel Ricciardo has a grid sanction for the Miami Grand Prix due to a crash in China, but that applies to Sunday’s grid and not this sprint as the FIA does not consider a sprint a “race”.

**Valtteri Bottas received three positions for violating Piastri in the sprint classification. Since he finished 18th, he only lost two and finished last.

Was it Verstappen’s pole position at the Miami Grand Prix?

No. At the same time, Verstappen only achieved a sprint with pole position this weekend, but in the Dutchman’s statistics this does not count towards pole position. That honor will go to the Miami Grand Prix, and whoever tops the classification on Saturday night will once again be the favorite.
