Telefónica Tech extends cybersecurity agreement with Microsoft

Telefonika Tech just announced a new agreement with Microsoft -signed at the RSA conference held in San Francisco (California, USA) – pick up advanced cyber security services companies all over the world.

This collaboration will integrate Microsoft’s advanced security and artificial intelligence solutions with Telefónica Tech’s operational cybersecurity expertise.

As part of this alliance, the operator expands your current cybersecurity portfolio, which includes services such as detection and response, identity access management, cyber threat analysis or data protection, among others, to improve incident response capabilities and streamline security processes. The company integrates Microsoft’s cybersecurity capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot security tool, with its ongoing security operations. 24/7 protection managed by Redmond’s own dedicated teams of highly qualified and technology certified DOCs (Digital Operations Centers) Telefonika Tech located in Madrid and Bogota, Colombia.

Regarding this agreement, Maria Jesús Almazor, Chief Operating Officer of Telefónica Tech in Spain and Americaassures: “This global collaboration between Microsoft and Telefónica Tech represents a key milestone, allowing companies around the world to take advantage of all the opportunities that technologies provide for the digitization of processes and workplaces, including tools based on generative artificial intelligence, with maximum security. »

In its turn, Alberto Granados, President of Microsoft Spainstates: “The collaboration between Telefónica Tech and Microsoft will allow us to offer our customers innovative security solutions based on artificial intelligence to improve their cyber resilience.”

Responsible AI in Spain

The new cybersecurity agreement is another step in the long-term cooperation between both companies. Last February, Microsoft announced the creation of the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center (RAIIC) in Spain, in which Telefónica Tech is collaborating with 15 other technology partners to promote the adoption and safe use of artificial intelligence. The center will develop training sessions, innovative use cases for AI, and guidelines for the safe and responsible use of this technology.
