The 20th anniversary edition of Beyond Good & Evil ties into the sequel with a new mission.

The Beyond Good & Evil remaster, celebrating the game’s 20th anniversary (celebrating in 2023), includes a new mission related to the sequel, which was first announced 16 years ago.

We thought everything related to the Beyond Good & Evil IP was ostracized since we hadn’t heard anything about the sequel for years (first announced in 2008 and then in 2017), and the same thing happened with 20 anniversary edition.

Beyond Good & Evil is one of the greatest gems of the 128-bit generation, which In 2003, it was released for PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.. Years later would switch to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 with HD remaster.

And Ubisoft confirmed inclusion of an unpublished mission (Treasure Hunt) as part of the 20th anniversary edition related to the plot of the sequel. It is something.

Treasure Hunt Mission delves into Jade’s childhood and provides a line of cosmetics tied to the upcoming second game.…though we won’t be able to connect the dots until Beyond Good & Evil 2 comes out.

The 20th Anniversary Edition also includes achievements and trophiesand art galleries in honor of the game’s release in 2003.

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary is the complete edition of Michel Ancel’s game and will be available in digital stores on June 25, 2024. PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The physical edition opens for reservations on July 12th, but does not have a date.
