The price of electricity remains at a minimum level. The cost of electricity on the wholesale market is transferred to the consumer’s account daily. It also takes into account, among other things, the costs of adjustment services, marketing, financing, duties and fees such as interruption or auction deficit. Thus, according to Red Eléctrica, the average price of electricity today is 0.084 euros/kWh, compared to 0.049 euros per kilowatt-hour the day before.

The consumer will receive a cheaper energy bill at the end of the month if they take advantage of the cheapest hours of the day. For this reason, today, Monday, February 26, the most pocket-friendly electricity rates will be early morning and early afternoon.

  • Cheapest time: 02:00 – 03:00 (0.047 EUR/kWh)

  • Most expensive time: 20:00 – 21:00 (0.13 EUR/kWh)

In particular, the time with the lowest price for electricity will be from 02:00 to 03:00 with a cost of 0.047 euros/kWh. This will be the most recommended time of day for consumers to plug in their appliances so they can save on their energy bills at the end of the month. If you can’t take advantage of the cheapest time of day, this is another good time to lower your energy bills during normal times:

  • 14:00 – 15:00: 0.073 EUR/kWh.

  • 16:00 – 17:00: 0.074 EUR/kWh.

  • 23:00 – 00:00: 0.072 EUR/kWh.

On the other hand, the least appropriate time to turn on the washing machine, oven or dryer is in the evening. Although yes, from 20:00 to 21:00, when the price is per kWh. will rise to 0.13 euros.
