According to the Ministry of Health, at the end of 2019, 80.73% of deaths in Costa Rica were caused by NCDs. This group of diseases does not have an underlying cause of acute infection. NCDs include cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and chronic lung disease, among others.
Edgar Camposco-founder of MediSer, noted that this pilot conference aims to raise awareness and provide patients with the tools to treat those who have found their root cause through regenerative medicine.
Doctor Mariana Gomez, co-founder and medical director of MediSer, explained that regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary field of medicine that focuses on repairing or regenerating damaged or diseased tissues and organs. Its goal is to restore normal body function by stimulating the natural healing process of damaged tissues or organs.
The event will be attended by specialists from Mexico, Peru and Costa Rica. Keynote addresses will be given first, followed by hands-on workshops using diagnostic and treatment tools for each specialty.
Among the topics that will be developed are: sports medicine, aromatherapy, detoxification using cellular regenerative medicine, neuro-linguistic programming and hypnosis as a tool for pain reduction; holistic therapies to improve health and well-being; and how legal conflicts can directly influence the occurrence of pain, illness and disease in people.
Additionally, a patient diagnosed with diabetes will give testimony about how regenerative medicine has helped him counteract the condition.
