VALENCIA (EP). The public institution Red.es, attached to the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Services, has increased by 1,000 euros the amount of assistance that self-employed and micro-enterprises can receive under the “Digital Kit” program, that is, up to 3,000 euros.
This is reflected in the change in the regulatory framework for the provision of this assistance, allocated to 3.067 million euros and intended for the digitalization of self-employed workers, SMEs and micro-enterprises (up to three employees) and which until the end of the year last year provided subsidies of 300,000 per year in the amount of about 1400 million euros.
“This increase in assistance will have a retroactive effect, meaning those beneficiary companies in segment III (self-employed and micro-enterprises) that have already requested it can request it earlier, even if they have already used up their digital voucher, thereby guaranteeing the principles of equal treatment. non-discrimination and transparency,” Red.es emphasized in a statement.
A request for assistance with the new amount can be made after opening the application form in June and, as indicated by the government authority, if the individual entrepreneur or micro-enterprise was already a beneficiary and wants to request an extension of 1000 euros, they must enter your file, select the active button for this and sign this agreement. In this case, the assignment is “automatic”.
The base order modification also updates the catalog of digitalization solutions for self-employed workers and micro-enterprises and creates a “Secure Workstation” solution, which includes a hardware device (such as a computer) that must meet a series of security requirements.
“This category aims to promote task automation, efficient data management and flexible communication. The goal is to increase the productivity and competitiveness of this segment in a safe environment,” Red.es emphasized.
The maximum amount eligible for this solution is 1000 euros and will involve new laptops or desktop computers, which must also meet minimum requirements in terms of storage, processor, RAM or operating system, among others.
However, the government agency clarified that self-employed or micro-enterprises receiving assistance for the first time and wishing to purchase a computer must combine it with another additional solution from those included in the catalog.
“As soon as the database update is published, participating digitization agents will be able to update their catalog solution offerings, and those who have not yet done so will be able to join for the first time,” added Red.es.
Membership as digitalization agents will be open throughout the duration of the program.
The changes also include mid-sized companies as new beneficiaries of the Digital Recruitment assistance, and two new segments are created based on the number of employees.
On the one hand, segment IV, which will consist of companies with between 50 and less than 100 employees, whose assistance amount will be 25,000 euros, and, on the other hand, segment V, consisting of companies with between 100 and 100 employees. less than 250 employees, for whom the digital bonus will be 29,000 euros.
Applications for mid-market companies are expected to be available in the last quarter of the year.
