The helmet of the future is here: it records your walks, notifies you if you have an accident, and connects to DGT 3.0.

Typically, when we think of a motorcycle helmet, we think of a piece of personal protection. Function over form by making purchasing decisions based on each pocket’s budget constraints. There are different designs and materials, but the function of the helmet remains almost unique. However, there are products such as Leavall MC1 Pro this will not only save your life in the event of an accident, but will also combine a number of features that, until now, we have never seen together in a helmet sold in our country.

Livall MC1 Pro, the connected helmet of the future is here

He Leavall MC1 Pro This is a product that is sold and developed by a Spanish brand whose production is located in China, in a global factory. Livalle’s idea is to expand the capabilities of helmets with its technology. Internet connection and our smartphone, opening up possibilities for features that not only improve our safety, but also our comfort and convenience. Although the brand initially produced helmets for bicycles and scooters, it currently has two motorcycle helmets: the MC1 and MC1 Pro.

Both helmets meet the new DOT ECE06 approval and are made of polycarbonate and polystyrene foam.

We’ve already talked about the MC1 in this article written by my colleague David Villarreal. With a small 1000mAh rechargeable battery, these helmets have very interesting features such as Bluetooth headphones with microphone. This allows us to make and receive calls, listen to music or communicate via walkie-talkie with other bikers. But the Bluetooth connection has a much more important function: in the event of an accident, it sends a message to up to five emergency contacts so they can relay it to emergency services.

These helmets permanently connected to the DGT 3.0 digital platformusing the built-in SIM card. This will allow, in the event of an accident, to issue a voice warning to other motorists, informing them of the incident. In addition, it also alerts emergency services to come to our aid. The helmets have a beacon that alerts us to our location in the event of an accident, as well as Red rear LED that lights up when braking thanks to the built-in accelerometer.

The MC1 Pro version goes even further and includes camera with wide angle lens, capable of recording up to 120 degrees forward. It can record up to 32 hours of video, recording our walks or acting as a dash cam in case of an accident.

From 799 euros in Spain

The Livall MC1 Pro connected helmet costs €799. In our country. It is 250 euros more expensive than the “simple” MC1, but has a number of additional features that justify the additional price. These additional features include the aforementioned integrated camera system and fiberglass exterior construction. Sales of the Livall MC1 Pro connected helmet will begin in Spain in January 2024.
