He’s the most famous video game designer on the planet, and every time he reveals a new trailer, the electronic entertainment world comes to a standstill. Japan’s Hideo Kojima has just unveiled the second trailer for Sony’s State of Play event. Death in Stranding 2
the sequel to the sci-fi adventure for PlayStation 5, released in 2019 and once again impressing with both the spectacular images and its extravagance.
The film is set in a post-apocalyptic world and stars small and big screen stars such as Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux. A new video lasting almost ten minutes was watched, the same one that accompanies these lines. .
One of the most interesting parts of this new trailer is the appearance of Australian director George Miller, director of such films as Crazy Max
, playing for one of the characters in the game. In fact, this is not something new, since other directors such as Guillermo del Toro or Nicolas Winding Refn have already appeared in the first films. Death.Minor details aside, however, if there’s one thing this new trailer surprises with, it’s the visual quality of the images. Recent video game blockbusters have accustomed us to images with detail and precision that were unimaginable a few years ago, but what Kojima Productions is doing seems to be on another level.
In any case, we will still have to put on our boots again and explore the desert world in the shoes of transport worker Sam Porter Bridges, because Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – like the full name – will go on sale no earlier than 2025.
