“The Witches of Mayfair” season 2: release date, actors, trailer and everything we know

It’s been almost a year since we last saw Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding in The Witches of Mayfair, but season two is almost upon us.

The first season of The Witches of Mayfair ended with several moments that left a stunning impact, from the reveal of the identity of Rowan’s father to the birth of Rowan’s child and finally the powerful line “You can’t control me” that echoes Rowan’s entire character.

This exciting story will continue in season two of The Witches of Mayfair as we follow Rowan and Lasher (Jack Huston) on their next journey together, and it will be one for the books. If it’s something like the second book in the Anne Rice series.

There are some new faces joining the cast as well, so let’s dive in and see what season two has in store for us.

Who is in the cast of The Witches of Mayfair Season 2?

We can definitely expect some faces to return in season two of The Witches of Mayfair, including Alexandria Daddario as Rowan Fielding and Jack Huston as Lasher.

Other expected returners include Tongai Chirisa as Cyprien and Harry Hamlin as Courtland Mayfair.

In addition to familiar faces, at least three new faces will join the cast as guest stars and recurring characters.

Alyssa Jirrells joins us as Moira Mayfair, Rowan’s cousin and Tessa’s sister. Moira can also read minds; you can bet she’s not happy with what happened to Tessa in season one.

Jirrels will be joined in the new cast by Thora Birch as Gifford Mayfair and Ted Levine as Julien Mayfair. Gifford is known as a tarot reader who spends a lot of time at his lake house, and Julien is Cortland’s father and a master manipulator.

Jirrells will be a recurring character in the second season, and Levine and Birch will guest star throughout the season.

What is the plot of the second season of The Witches of Mayfair?

The first season deviated a lot from the original plot of Anne Rice’s The Witches of Mayfair, so it’s hard to say exactly what will happen in the second season.

In the series of novels, Rowan travels through Europe with Lasher, who is incarnated as Rowan’s newborn child, who has become a grown man. The women of Mayfair are dying of mysterious hemorrhages, and Rowan has a strange genetic abnormality.

While Rowan is still learning about himself, Lasher tries to create more versions of himself, although mostly without success.

We don’t know for sure which aspects will remain the same and which will change in season two, but showrunners Estha Spaulding and Michelle Ashford teased what was due to appear in Entertainment Weekly last year.

Spaulding teased that they “don’t have many episodes” but they will “mine” the book “for the wonders and riches and oddities that are in there.”

Spalding added: “There’s a whole section in the book where Rowan is in Europe, there’s something in Scotland, and there’s multiple generations living in Scotland.”

“Of course we touched on Scotland this season, but it was really interesting to think about that in season two,” Spalding continued.

When will Season 2 of The Witches of Mayfair premiere?

The information we have about Season 2 of The Witches of Mayfair is limited, and along with that limited information is the release date.

At the moment, the debut date for the second season has not been set. For now, all we know is that season two will be released this year, although it will most likely be later in the year.

There is a possibility that Season 2 will debut in early 2025, two years after Season 1, but so far all signs point to The Witches of Mayfair Season 2 releasing this year.

How many episodes are there in Season 2 of The Witches of Mayfair?

There’s no official word on how many episodes The Witches of Mayfair Season 2 will have, but Season 1 had eight episodes, so Season 2 will likely have a similar number.

Most new series are around eight episodes long, so we expect The Witches of Mayfair season 2 to also be around eight episodes long.

Is there a trailer for Season 2 of The Witches of Mayfair?

It’s too early to release the trailer, but we hope it arrives soon!

With the second season expected to release later this year, we will soon get a trailer for the highly anticipated thriller.

Where can I watch Season 2 of The Witches of Mayfair?

Like season one, season two will air on AMC and AMC+. Most likely, we will see one episode per week, like last season, although this is not certain right now.

In the meantime, we can rewatch the first season of the hit drama via the AMC+ streaming service and relive our favorite (and least favorite) memories from the first season of The Witches of Mayfair.

After all, who doesn’t want to relive that treasured dance scene in the Infinity House? Well, maybe Rowan, but we can’t say for sure.

We look forward to what lies ahead in this exciting AMC+ series.

Stay tuned as we’ll be posting updates as more information becomes available about Season 2 of The Mayfair Witches and everything in between.
