Herpes was the cause of 1,999 visits, as well as other recurrent pathologies – gonorrhea and syphilis.

Mental health

In the area of ​​mental health, mood disorders and non-phobic anxiety disorders predominated, with 33,913 services provided, mainly to women. The balance also includes a decrease of 3.3% in visits for suicide attempts compared to the previous year. In 2023, the highest visits to emergency hospitals, in this order, corresponded to the complexes of Aranjuez, Valdemoro, Móstoles, Fuenlabrada and Collado Villalba, all of which had rates above 700 cases per 1,000 inhabitants. On the other hand, below 324 are Chamartín, in Madrid, Boadilla and Pozuelo de Alarcón.

This study included 28 SERMAS hospitals: 12 de Octubre, Central de la Defense Gómez Ulla, Clínico San Carlos, Dr. Rodriguez Lafora, El Escorial, Alcorcón Foundation, Jiménez Díaz Foundation, Fuenlabrada, Gregorio Marañón or Getafe. Also El Henares, Infanta Cristina, Infanta Elena Valdemoro, Infanta Leonor, Infanta Sofia, La Paz, Princess, Mostoles, Puerta de Hierro, Majadahonda, Prince of Asturias, Ramon y Cajal, King Juan Carlos, Severo Ochoa, Sureste, Tajo, Torrejon, Villalba and Niño Jesus.
