Netflix announced that it will increase the price of subscription to Spain and Italy. The change, which will be reflected in these countries starting tomorrow, Friday 18 October, is part of a rate update that is gradually being developed in the region.
The streaming giant announced the news on Thursday while reporting its latest financial results. The letter to shareholders notes that they are looking to improve their monetization and this will be achieved by “improving” their plans and pricing.

Netflix said its third-quarter revenue rose 15% year-over-year to $9.825 million. Paid users also grew 15% year-over-year, adding 5.1 million new users in the quarter.
