Donald Trump won the state of Arizona in the presidential elections, with Republicans winning all seven key states, US media estimated this Saturday (11/09/2024).
After four days of ballot counting, CNN and NBC projected that Donald Trump had secured all 11 electoral votes in this southwestern state.
Arizona is traditionally Republican, but swung in favor of Joe Biden in 2020, marking the Republicans’ defeat that year after his first term in office.
With his victory in Arizona, Trump increased his lead over Democrat Kamala Harris.
The scale and strength of Trump’s comeback, who also won the popular vote by nearly four million votes, has shocked Democrats.
Republicans have already gained control of the Senate and may retain their majority in the House of Representatives.
The network’s figures give the Democrats 205 seats, though members of that party are still hoping for a narrow victory to limit Trump’s powers.
NBC has so far announced 212 seats for Republicans and 204 seats for Democrats.
The other six key states won by Trump are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada and Georgia.
