Vaccination campaign against flu and Covid begins

The City Council of Jerez de los Caballeros, through its social networks, shared with citizens a message from the Badajoz Health Authority about the vaccination campaign against influenza and Covid, which began on October 14 in order to protect the most vulnerable groups. in Extremadura.

The flu vaccine can be given to people over 60 years of age, pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy, workers in medical and social-medical centers and essential services, cohabitants with whom they have high complications in case of illness, as well as people over 60 years of age. and/or Covid to persons under 60 years of age with risk conditions.

In addition, it is recommended to always vaccinate children aged 6 to 59 months, smokers under 60 years of age, interns in medical and social-medical centers, teaching staff in pre-school education centers and kindergartens, as well as people exposed to direct infection. to influenza in animals or their secretions.
