Protesters have flooded the east of Caracas in Venezuela in opposition-led demonstrations against the results of elections held a month ago. Former Venezuelan National Assembly deputy Maria Corina Machado has joined the protests and has stressed that “No democratic government has recognized Maduro’s fraud”
,Edmundo González Urrutia, an opposition candidate for the July 28 election, wrote on his X account that “These 30 days have been difficult, but they are also a proof of our unity”. González Urrutia has limited his public appearances after President Nicolás Maduro threatened him with jail.
