Walking daily may help you lose weight, but science has discovered another little-known benefit.

New study points to evidence that walking may prevent lower back pain

If you have an office job or, if you don’t, remote work is part of your daily life, it’s understandable that you spend several hours sitting in front of a computer. After the day or before it starts, always must do something sport involving some physical activity in your daily routine and thus avoid a sedentary lifestyle. Often entering the world fitness It may seem a little more expensive than it actually is, but a daily walk is enough to clear your mind and wake up your muscles, something your health and your body will thank you for over time.

The benefits of daily walking go beyond helping us stay fit and, of course, activating our muscles with a little cardio. The truth is that this discipline never ceases to amaze us with its extensive list of properties, the last of which leaves us speechless: May relieve lower back pain At the same time, it will be responsible for strengthening the muscles that support the back.

A new scientific study published in The Lancet shows that walk regularly This may be especially effective in preventing back pain from returning. In this study, they focused on adults with a history of low back pain, observing how those who walked regularly spent nearly twice as long without the return of back pain compared to another group that did not exercise.

The new findings from this study are consistent with other research that a couple of years ago reported how physical activity could reduce the prevalence of Backache

. While lower back pain can occur for a variety of reasons, one of the most common is a weak base of support, meaning the muscles that support the spine do not have enough strength to support it properly.

For this reason, sports are considered an excellent option for preventing back pain, since by engaging the back muscles, preferably through a low-impact discipline such as walking, it helps their gradual development and gaining muscle mass. Take note and don’t ignore your daily walks this summer.
