Water and Garden and PBL 3×3 Las Rozas take the crown in Tenerife.

The Tenerife Master Final, the last stop on the Armas Trasmediterránea 3×3 Series 2024 circuit, left an unbeatable taste in the mouth. After the success of 2023, the courts installed in the Plaza de España hosted the last matches of the tournament, which helped to find out which teams took up the baton as champions of the great final tournament of the benchmark 3×3 basketball tournament at the national level.

During the morning session, a replay was played to determine the second teams to reach the quarter-finals in each group, both in the women’s and men’s categories. Equality was the dominant trend from the first hours of Saturday, when several matches were decided by a single point, such as the 3×3 clash between Pitius Easy Tax and Electromercantil Getafe, which went to the Madrid team in extra time, or the clash between The 3×3 Academy U19 and Electromercantil Getafe for women, who took the Catalans by the minimum.

Before the morning closed, it was time for the quarter-finals in both categories, which began with an epic duel between Bàsquet Girona and BT Élite 3×3, which was also decided in extra time in favor of the local teams. Likewise, the last game of the morning left another thrilling victory with a single goal, this time for PBL 3×3 Las Rozas, who defeated Baloncesto Málaga to take the lead in the tournament.

The day resumed with a Mundo Deportivo triple duel, which went to Jordi Sanchez, a player of the 3×3 VIC Academy, after winning a tense final round. Right after that, it was the turn of Markie Smith, who raised the mood on the court with her dunk and warmed up the loyal crowd for the decisive matches.

In the first women’s semifinal, Basket Girona defeated the combative local team Titans 3×3 Canarias, while Agua y Jardín did the same against Komba Teika. In the men’s team, Electromercantil Getafe qualified, beating Valencia Basket 3×3 in a very competitive encounter, while PBL 3×3 Las Rozas, led by Nico Ricciotti and Javier Beirsen, crushed Pando UE Mataró. The final touch was the grand final, where PBL 3×3 Las Rozas and Agua y Jardín 3×3 won the men’s category.

At the end of the matches, the award for best scorer was given to Ainhoa Lacorsana (Titans 3×3 Canarias) and in the men’s category to Javier Beircen (PBL 3×3 Las Rozas), both awards being presented by Oscar Martínez Huerga, Corporate Director of Armas Trasmediterránea, Manuel Pérez, Project Manager in Madison and Pedro Meléndez, National 3×3 Basketball Coach. The runners-up received their award from Fernando Romay, Ambassador of the Spanish Basketball Federation, and the runners-up received theirs from Alicia Cebrián, Sports Advisor of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Finally, the grand finale was held by the champions of both categories, whose trophy was presented in the women’s category by Oscar Martínez Huerga and in the men’s category by Yolanda Molina, General Director of Sports of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife.
