The discovery was made by Reddit user DaleRobinson, who found a secret code hidden in these images. While exploring different city scenarios you can find a total of 26 photoseach with their own legend and code message. Dale Robinson discovered that by identifying patterns in objects, he they were repeated in the photographs and using them to select letters from the subtitles, the phrase “you’ve been here for two decades” was formed, a message that had a major impact on the community.

A hidden message noted by its creators

The discovery of the hidden message has given rise to various theories among players. Some interpret the message as a reference to the fact that the main character, James Sunderland

first visited Silent Hill with his wife in 1981, and the original game came out 20 years later, in 2001. Others believe that the message symbolizes James’ eternal torment in some sort of purgatory, and some suggest that the phrase is a way of breaking the fourth wall and expressing fan loyalty franchise for two decades.

Mateusz Lenart, Creative Director and Lead Game Design at Bloober Team, celebrated Dale Robinson’s discovery on Twitter, mentioning: “We knew it wouldn’t be hidden for long“, although it also hints at a certain “fear” within the studio in case they went too far when it came to including these messages. “I really wanted it to be subtle when I painted these photographs. Congratulations!” – Lenart finished.
