Target announced the launch earlier this week new update this October for the instant messaging app whatsapp. As usual, the leading “application” in its sector introduces new functions and apply improvements – in this case in the section safety– in those that already exist thanks to these periodic adjustments.
However, it’s not all good news. The new version of WhatsApp also means that some devices are going one step further obsolescence cannot be renewed with this new update. This happens both in those terminals that use Android like in those iOS (Apple brand operating system).
New version of WhatsApp will be released outdated to all those mobile phones whose operating system is at least no higher Android 5.0 or iOS 12. This means that users of the following smartphone models will not be able to download the latest version of the messaging app:
iOS
Android
It should be noted that this change does not mean that WhatsApp will automatically stop working on those devices that will appear in the list, but simply will not be able to continue updating and, therefore, the level of protection against potential cyber attacks there will be less.
