you won’t believe why

An American at a hotel in Georgia couldn’t last half an hour at her new job: She quit 27 minutes after signing in for the first time. The reason? I couldn’t believe the method they used to clean the rooms.

Apparently, changing sheets or doing a deep clean was not in this hotel’s manual. When the woman realized that hotel etiquette left a lot to be desired, she grabbed her jacket and left without thinking.

She was astounded by what she saw within half an hour.

It all started when, full of energy and eager to work, the woman followed a co-worker to learn how she should clean rooms. She put on gloves, grabbed bleach, and prepared to begin, but her partner stopped her in her tracks. “No, no, no,” he told her.

What happened next was amazing: His partner started dabbing the floor with adhesive tape to collect dust and then, sprayed a little bleach and called it good. “The bathroom is clean,” he announced.

But that is not all. When the new employee tried to change the dirty bedsheets, she was stopped again. Instead of putting out clean sheets, her partner took out the vacuum cleaner, ran it on the sheets and made the bed. And to make matters worse, instead of replacing the used glasses in the coffee maker, they scrubbed them and put them back as if nothing had happened.

Her patience ran out and after seeing all this, the woman did not think twice. He wore his jacket and left with just a “Ah, okay.” According to him, he had only been working for 27 minutes, but that was enough to know that this was not his place.
