YouTube will insert ads directly into videos

We’ve been seeing YouTube announce new and recurring measures for months now. remove ad blockers from your videosand is now experimenting with final move. The company has done everything it can in recent months, from restricting access to its video platform to… force poor performance platform if it detects an ad blocker. Despite repeated attempts, the company saw that its advertising policies could always be circumvented to provide free browsing. Now, its days may be numbered.

According to recent reports, YouTube is already taking very strong measures to force you to disable your ad blocker. One of them goes through something as simple as force you to login on YouTube to watch the video. But the most pressing thing is a new way of displaying advertising, and this involves directly insert advertisements from the server side.

YouTube will force ads into videos from the server: your blocker will no longer be useful

YouTube is reportedly experimenting with server-based advertising. In Spanish it states that
ads will not be added from the client side (user’s browser or application). They will be introduced directly from YouTube servers. What does it mean? that advertising is inserted directly in video transmission.

Instead of downloading ads individually, the ads are integrated. in the video data stream which reaches the user’s device. And yes, this means that any current ad blocker will not be able to stop ads from showing up every time you play a video. Or in other words, it will ask you to pay for YouTube Premium if you are so worried about not playing ads.

No current ad blocker works with this move. Basically, he has no opportunities. distinguish advertising from the main video. Thanks to this direct integration, users you will have to see the full advertisement without the ability to skip or block them. It is currently indicated that YouTube is testing this technique before officially rolling it out, which will impact potential opportunities
hundreds or billions of users. Anyone using a blocker will suffer.

The fight against ad blockers has intensified

Obviously, unless you pay for a YouTube Premium subscription, watching ads during videos is the way to go to generate income to maintain the platform (and this site, wink). So YouTube only sees a future if users view these ads or pay a subscription to legally remove them.

Just last month, YouTube was experimenting with a feature whereby if it detected an ad blocker, it would directly result in play video at end. This means you will not be able to view the video. Along with implementing server-level advertising, it was mentioned that they are also looking for force login. Here the reason is unknown, it is unknown whether this type of advertisement needs to be reproduced or is it a separate plan of the company to increase the number of registered users.
