NY – The defining moment to find out who will be the undisputed champion of the featherweight division is getting closer for the Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano (43-2-1, 30 KO’s) and the Mexican Erika Cruz (15-1, 3 KO’s), who will meet this Thursday at the final press conference of the card they star in and which has been titled “Indisputable” .
The boxing event will be staged this coming Saturday at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.
This afternoon, both fighters met again at the official press conference. Tomorrow, Friday, will be the weigh-in.
“This entire camp has been focused on Erika Cruz,” Serrano said. “The real winners will be the fans. It will be a great fight,” he added.
Serrano also insisted that 126 pounds is his natural division. “This is the division where I feel better, I am comfortable that it is my division”, he expressed.
The meeting between Serrano and Cruz was cordial, with the Mexican showing appreciation for the opportunity.
The Puerto Rican is the 126-pound champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Organization (OIB) and holds the belt from the specialized magazine in boxing, “The Ring”.
Cruz is the champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
The sports program has eight other fights, including a brawl for the women’s super featherweight (130-pound) world championship between the American Alycia Baumgardner (13-1, 7 KO’s) Y the french Elhem Mekhaled (15-1, 3 KO’s).

Likewise, four other Puerto Ricans will see action. One of them is John Bauza (17-0, 7 KO’s), a native of New Jersey, who will face Richardson Hitchins (15-0, 7 KO’s) for the IBF North American super lightweight (135 pounds) title, held by the American, and the vacant USWBC title.
the olympic Yankiel Rivera (2-0, 2 KO’s) will go against Fernando Diaz (11-2-1, 3 KO’s) in his debut with the Matchroom company. Aaron Aponte (6-0, 2 KO’s), born to a Puerto Rican father, will face joshua david rivera (8-1, 3 KO’s).
