Bella Thorne Makes Directorial Debut With ‘Color Your Pain’ – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Bella Thorne is set to make her feature film directorial debut. Color your painthe true story of a young gay man growing up in the Bible Belt.

Thorne has begun the casting process for the project, based on her original script and a short film she directed called Unsettledwhich is in post-production.

Filming will take place in the Midwest and Italy this spring.

Gatien will produce Color your pain along with David Lipper (Bandit) and Robert A. Daley Jr. (Freud’s last session) from Latigo Films, Dani Druz and Mark Emms (Bad vegan), with Adam Segal (Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose) and actor C. J. Lewis (Night teeth) serving as executive producers.

Thorne previously worked with Seagal, Friend (reality) and Lipper and Daly on Towercurrently in post-production, Gatien on Midday sunand Alcazar on Divinitywhich debuted at Sundance last year.

“Color your pain It’s not just a script; this is one of the most inspiring projects I’ve ever written. As I step into my new role as a filmmaker, it marks the beginning of a truly impressive and exciting chapter in my career. “I’m honored to tell a true story that has elements that I deeply relate to,” Thorne said.
