Catherine O’Hara starred in the second season of The Last of Us

Hollywood veteran Catherine O’Hara joins the cast of HBO series Last of us second season.

The show, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, is based on the popular PlayStation video game of the same name and debuted on HBO last year. The show received critical acclaim and was later renewed for a second season.

In accordance with Hollywood ReporterO’Hara has been cast in an undisclosed role. She joins newcomers Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced and Young Masino.

The action takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization. Last of us follows Joel (Pascal), a hardened survivor who is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie (Ramsey) out of a repressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon turns into a brutal, heartbreaking journey as they both travel across the US and depend on each other for survival.

In season two, Dever will reprise her role as Abby in the series created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The character is described as “a seasoned soldier whose black-and-white view of the world is challenged as she seeks revenge for those she has loved.”

Merced will play Dina, described as “a free spirit whose devotion to Ellie will be tested by the cruelty of the world they live in,” and Masino will play Jesse, “a pillar of her community who puts everyone else’s needs before her own.” , sometimes at a terrible cost.”
