Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered a shoulder injury in his team’s loss to the Ravens.
BALTIMORE — Miami Dolphins defensive end Tua Tagovailoa left Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a shoulder injury. and did not return as several Dolphins starters were injured in the 56–19 loss.
Late in the fourth quarter Sunday, Tagovailoa appeared to experience discomfort in his left shoulder and was treated on the sideline. Game out of reach He was replaced by backup quarterback Mike White.. Tagovailoa has been limited in practice all week with injuries to his thumb and left quadriceps, although he was injury-free against Baltimore.
At his postgame press conference, Tagovailoa told reporters that “The shoulder is fine. It just hurts.”
After Tagovailoa left the game, Miami suffered another potentially critical blow when linebacker Bradley Chubb was taken off the field and taken to the locker room with a knee injury.. Chubb leads the Dolphins with 11 sacks this season and took on a larger role after linebacker Jelan Phillips tore his Achilles tendon in Week 12.
At the start of the matchup against the Ravens, defenseman Xavien Howard left with a leg injury and did not return. The Ravens immediately took advantage of his absence, with quarterback Lamar Jackson throwing for 321 yards and five touchdowns, finishing the game with a perfect passer rating of 158.3.
Howard was injured in the first quarter on Baltimore’s first drive. He was taken to the locker room on a trolley and discarded after further inspection.
The 2022 Pro Bowler has played in 13 of the team’s 17 games this season, recording 45 tackles, 12 passes defensed and one interception.
Tagovailoa finished the day with 237 yards passing.two touchdowns and his first two interceptions since Week 12.
The Dolphins will face the Buffalo Bills in Week 18, with the winner earning the AFC East title.
