Emma Roberts showed off her stylish approach on Wednesday as she sat courtside to watch the Chicago Bulls play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The 32-year-old actress turned heads in a quirky purple and black striped cardigan paired with simple gray jeans.
Underneath, she wore a colorful, graphic T-shirt emblazoned with a black-and-white photo of music icon Paul McCartney.
Emma added a few inches to her height with a pair of brown leather high-heeled boots.
She wore her long blonde hair in two pretty braids and completed the look with a pair of silver hoop earrings.
Emma watched as the New York Knicks defeated their rival Chicago Bulls, winning the game 116-100.
Her outing comes after Emma celebrated her son Rhodes’ third birthday last month by sharing a sweet tribute on Instagram.
The American Horror Story star was overwhelmed with love as she posted a touching photo of mother and son together.
Captioning the photo, she wrote: “Happy Birthday to the sweetest soul.” I love you, Rhodes! Here we go 3! ❤️’
Her famous aunt Julia Roberts commented: “Happy Birthday, dear. Love you.” ❤️’
Emma’s mother, Kelly Cunningham, also posted some of her favorite photos of Rhodes and told her grandson she loved him “so much.”
Emma Rhodes shares with ex Garrett Hedlund, 39, who also celebrated his son’s special day with a sweet Instagram.
He shared a candid photo of him spending some one-on-one time with his only child and wrote: “Happy Birthday to my sweet badass Rowdy!!!!”
The actor then called Rhodes his “Wings and my shadow,” adding, “Holy Trinity…3!!!!”
The former couple split in early 2022 after dating for three years and the birth of their son in December 2020.
Aside from birthday wishes and rare Instagram Story cameos, Emma and Garrett have kept Rhodes out of the spotlight.
Garrett has remained friendly with Emma since their split and paid tribute to her in the video for his song Day One, released in May.
Earlier this year, Emma spoke to PEOPLE about being a working mom and how it can be “really hard.”
She said: “Now I just look at (the work) from a completely different perspective. Being a mom is a full-time job, so I see that it’s so difficult for women who work full-time and are full-time moms, and I have so much respect for them.”
In an interview with Tatler, Emma spoke about her approach to raising children and what she hopes to teach her son.
She explained: “I’m definitely thinking about how I can help him become a true gentleman. I want him to be respectful and smart not only in school but in life.
“What it means to be a man is being rewritten, and I hope my contribution to the world will be raising an amazing boy who will grow into an amazing man. I want him to feel like there’s nothing he can’t ask or tell me.”
Following her split from Garrett, Emma found love again with boyfriend Cody John after they were reportedly introduced by mutual friends.
The couple went public with their relationship in August 2022 when Cody posted a photo of himself kissing Emma on Instagram with the caption: “Sweetie, sweetheart.”
