Priyanka Chopra Jonas to star alongside Karl Urban in new film Cliffdirected by Frank E. Flowers and produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
The story will focus on Chopra’s character, a former pirate. Her island is overrun and she must protect her family and loved ones as her past resurfaces and haunts her. While we don’t have a detailed plot description yet, the premise is quite unique. A film starring a pirate protagonist is more than enough to pique the interest and excitement of fans. Quantico the actress has now officially replaced Zoe Saldana (Avatar) who was originally supposed to play the main role.
Chopra, an actress and film producer, is best known for her starring role as Alex Parrish, an FBI recruit in the drama series. Quantico (2015). She has over 75 credits to her credit, but some of her most popular roles are in action films. Citadel (2023) and fourth issue Matrix movies, The Matrix: Rebirths (2021). Chopra received acclaim for her performance in Quantico when she was nominated for two People’s Choice Awards. She also won Favorite Actress in a New TV Series in 2016 and Favorite TV Drama Actress in 2017.

New Zealand actor Karl Urban is in talks to star opposite Chopra. Urban is known for his excellent work in successful drama series. Boys as Billy Butcher, where he shares the screen with popular names such as Jensen Ackles, Jack Quaid and Chace Crawford. In addition, the actor can also be seen in films. Frank E. Flowers and Joe Ballarini are teaming up for an upcoming project. Cliff. Flowers will direct the film and co-write the screenplay with Ballarini. Flowers is an acclaimed writer whose most recent work is a musical feature film. “Bob Marley: One Love.” which was released last month. Ballarini is also an accomplished writer, known for his “Nanny’s Guide to Monster Hunting” series of books full of creepy and action-packed stories. The series was also made into a film in 2020, starring actors such as Tom Felton and Tamara Smart. AGBO, Cinestar Pictures and the Russo Brothers are set to produce the film.

In January, a cast leak raised suspicions about Chopra’s participation in the film, but nothing was confirmed at that time. However, now both the cast and crew have officially confirmed their participation in the project. Release date for Cliff has not yet been announced, but they are reportedly planning to begin filming in Australia soon. Although the film was originally planned to be sold to Netflix, it will now be released on Prime Video.
