Green light for the great revolution combining WhatsApp and Instagram

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, is going through a revolution this year. Meta, its parent company, recently announced a complete redesign of the app, introducing 4 tabs, white color and a minimalist design to improve the app experience and make it easier to navigate with one hand.

However, the changes do not end there. In addition to the new design, WhatsApp has included six new emoji and adapted its privacy and security terms to legislation approved by the European Commission on digital services. One of the most notable new features is the ability to chat with contacts from other instant messaging apps such as Telegram, Facebook Messenger or Signal.

The measure, which is part of the European Union’s cross-platform compatibility guidelines, will allow users to see messages from other apps in a special folder in their WhatsApp inbox called “third-party chats.”

But the real surprise is about to come with the latest feature that the messaging app developers are preparing: lAbility to share WhatsApp status updates directly to popularstories‘ from Instagram. Although the Android version is still in beta, it is expected to be available for the iPhone’s iOS operating system soon.

The integration of WhatsApp and Instagram promises to make it easier for users to share multimedia content, allowing them to share their statuses with a single click. While the feature will be optional, users will have the ability to activate or deactivate it according to their preferences, as well as manage the audience for their Instagram Stories from their privacy settings.
