The personal data you provide will be processed by the Illustrious Official College of Doctors of Madrid (ICOMEM) in order to process your request, comply with the laws of professional associations, as well as ICOMEM’s own statutes, which facilitates the management of the various activities carried out by ICOMEM.

In addition to the correspondence required by law to be sent by the College in order to keep you informed of general activities and services of interest to members, your data will be processed if you wish to receive periodic newsletters by email. or by ordinary means of a professional, educational, cultural, health, economic, social welfare or similar nature, which ICOMEM considers may be of interest to you, expressly authorizing the processing of your data for this purpose.

In addition, we inform you that your professional data (for example, membership number, date of registration, field of professional activity, landline or mobile phone, professional address, email, all of a professional nature, and, where applicable, hours of work or consultations) will be included in the “Search for Participants” or the peer guide, which, if necessary, will be published in paper and/or electronic form on the website www.icomem.es.

The legal basis for processing personal data will depend on the personal data involved and the processing activity in question. Therefore, we may process your personal information on the basis of: i) the fulfillment of a mission carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of public authority vested in the person responsible for treatment (professional regulation and ethical control); ii) the judge’s consent; iii) to satisfy the legitimate interests pursued by the data controller; or iv) compliance with a legal obligation (derived from Law 2/1974 on professional associations and the Law on Professional Associations of the Community of Madrid).

Your data will be kept for as long as you remain a member and, in any case, for as long as we are required to keep it in accordance with our legal obligations.

In accordance with the laws on professional associations and collegial statutes, your personal data may be transferred to the General Council of Official Medical Associations of Spain and other collegial organizations of a supra-provincial nature and, if necessary, other public or private organizations for the provision of services or joint organization of activities of medical interest communities; always complying with the requirements established by current legislation.

Managing your tuition fees necessarily entails transmitting your details to the banking or financial institution with which ICOMEM works, so that they can proceed to debit the amounts owed.

In order to be included in the life insurance and travel assistance contracted by ICOMEM and covering all its members and beneficiaries, your personal data and the data of the beneficiaries you communicate to us will be processed by ICOMEM and transmitted to the insurance companies with which you communicate at any time, the above-mentioned policies are concluded.
