“In the best places, with the best people”
Zoe Saldaña is on holiday with her husband of 11 years Marco Perego, 44, and their three sons, twins Cy and Bowie, nine, and Zen, seven.
The 45-year-old Avatar actress took to Instagram on Friday to share a video clip of moments from their family trip.
The video starts with Zoe looking like she just rolled out of bed and quickly cuts to her parents applauding and then to a selfie of Zoe packing on the PDA at dinner in Malibu with her husband last month with her three similar sons.
The Instagram post is themed around the movie Frank Ocean’s Lost and features Zoe and her kids enjoying the sunrise on the beach before heading off to their next destination on a plane.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star captioned the post: “Lost, lost, lost…” In the best places, with the best people. Always lost…. Amen,” and added a number of emojis including a butterfly, sunflower, rainbow, lucky clover, star and clock.
It was a real family outing as From Scratch star’s sisters Cicely Saldaña and Mariel Saldaña Nazario also appeared in Zoe’s video with their nieces and nephews.
In October, the busy working mom opened up about the joys and challenges of being a parent.
“We’re here to set a very big tone for their lives: how to be, how to react, how to regulate, how to correct, how to heal, how to stand up for yourself,” she told People magazine.
“So they will constantly repeat your actions, knowing that you are constantly being watched.” It definitely makes you a lot more alert than you’ve ever been in your entire life.”
Zoya and her husband are also raising their three boys by respecting and honoring women, and embracing their feminine sides.
“We are very strict with our boys as much as we are with our women. And boys are encouraged to be strong and suppress their emotions,” she said.
“And then once you learn to do it so much and for so long, you become completely disconnected from your feelings,” she added.
“We definitely understood the assignment and accepted it, knowing that we were raising boys at a time when women’s movements are so important,” Saldaña added.
Zoe and Marco recently purchased a $17.5 million mansion in Montecito, California.
Their area is also home to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
Before moving north to Santa Barbara County, Zoe listed her Beverly Hills mansion for $16.5 million, nearly double the $8.7 million she paid for it in 2016, according to Zillow.
As of this writing, the 6,000-square-foot home with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms is renting for $47,500 a month.
There’s little information about her new Montecito digs other than it’s a 10,000-square-foot home with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms on five acres.
